Roscoe Named Interim Police Chief

Allan Roscoe has been appointed interim chief of police and director of public safety.  He is expected to serve in this role for one year while a search is ongoing for a permanent replacement for former Chief Brian Pray.

A graduate of a number of specialized programs -- including those dealing with forensics investigations, drug enforcement and explosive device investigation -- Roscoe currently works with police and public safety agencies in developing training and organizational development programs.

Roscoe has taught a number of courses at the University, including Hate Crimes and Domestic Terrorism, International Terrorism/Counter Terrorism, Criminal Profiling and Security Management.  He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Criminal Justice from UMass Lowell.
